Head of Sales – Solutions

INDICATA - a global leader in dealer stock management, pricing decision tools (B2B and B2C), fleet remarketing price optimisation, RV forecasting tools and market reporting.

Role Purpose

Autorola Solutions is a software product designed to drive efficiencies in the automotive market, either as inventory efficiency software for used car dealers, or fleet efficiency software for fleet owners like banks, leasing companies and rent a car operators.

This product has been developed and optimised in other markets in Europe and now is ready to launch in the UK and has great growth potential.

To assist the Company in achieving its business objectives, an opportunity has arisen to launch and lead this product in the UK with full ownership andrevenue responsibility and to develop and expand the function in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing a sales strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives for the Solutions product portfolio, aligning this to the business strategy and goals.
  • Monitoring and managing the sales targets for the Solutions function in the UK.
  • Responsible for sustainably developing an employee structure for the Solutions function as required as the department grows in the UK.
  • Developing account relationships through a consultative approach to identify where genuine value can be added for the customer and to secure contracts by using a structured engagement process including targeting, prospecting, qualifying, presenting, negotiating & closing, implementing and post implementation engagement.
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding individual targets and team targets as the function expands to improve business performance.
  • Responsible for fully utilising the company’s salesforce CRM tool and recording all activity, coupled with establishing and maintaining appropriate follow-up cycles.
  • Assist with actively identifying opportunities for products from the other business units, warming customer to these opportunities and introducing other business unit sales specialists to the decision makers.
  • Monitoring account performance against plans and taking corrective action to ensure account retention and profitability is optimised and that the Solutions product sales are continuously increasing with existing customers.
  • Developing and delivering appropriate account review processes to ensure all customers feel supported and adequately advised in their use of the Solutions product portfolio to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Responsible for delivering regular forecasts of customer requirements into the business and delivering enhancements to services provided to key customers, maximising extension selling opportunities where appropriate and possible.
  • Responsible for representing the company at industry events, trade shows and conferences, and promote the company’s brand and proposition.
  • Responsible for conducting market observations and competitor analyses.
  • To sit as a member of the UK Management Team to update the business on Solutions sales progress and drive strategic growth.
  • Represent the Company professionally at all times.
  • Any other responsibility as may be required by the Company

Requirements and Key Skills

  • Previous experience (5 years minimum) in either automotive software sales or software sales in a tech company
  • Actively seeking out market intelligence on competitive products, pricing, functionality and sales approach and ensuring country and group management are fully aware of the challenges and threats.
  • In depth understanding of operational processes and process optimisation in order to market the corresponding solutions at decision maker level.
  • Demonstrable experience and ability to convince others to absorb and embrace new products or concepts.
  • Experience in selling to OEM (Manufacturer)/Leasing/Rental/Dealer at senior level is an advantage.
  • Experience of pitching to C suite prospects is an advantage.
  • Highly organised in approach coupled with the ability to manage personal time effectively.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work remotely.
  • Experience of utilising a structured CRM system, Salesforce experience an advantage
